Marc was born in Hamburg, Germany, in September 1988 and attended Gymnasium Grootmoor. Before moving to Australia, he spent six months in Gibraltar at PokerStrategy as an online poker coach and professional player. He settled in Australia in October 2010 and completed a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting, a double degree, at Murdoch University in Perth.
Marc works as an SEO consultant in Perth. His focus areas include technical SEO, ecommerce SEO, international SEO, content strategy, AI search visibility, link building and Google Search Console analysis. He has more than 10 years in digital marketing and SEO.
Marc founded the agency in 2014 as Steep Digital, building websites for local Perth businesses. It later rebranded as Ecomexperts, an SEO agency based in Perth. The team has grown to 15 people. Clients include Radiant Smiles, My Implant Dentist, U7BUY, Lontto and The Brisbane Plumbers. Marc is the founder and SEO Director.
In March 2026, Marc published SEO Algorithm Cracked: Modern Search Decoded. Reverse-Engineered. Explained. The Kindle book reverse-engineers how modern search engines rank pages, drawing on patents, antitrust testimony, public infrastructure documentation and cross-engine algorithm research. It is available on Amazon in English.
Marc created The $1M AI SEO Stack, a course published by IMG Courses. Across 23 lessons, it teaches agencies to run SEO work through one CLI-first AI stack, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. He also built Climby AI SEO, an open-source AI audit tool, and SERP Similarity, a Chrome extension.
Marc ran workshops at the Shenzhen SEO Conference in 2025 and 2026 and was named #1 Best Shenzhen SEO Specialist both years. His 2025 workshop drew 83 participants and a 4.93 out of 5 average rating. He spoke at the LLM Mastery Summit in Chiang Mai in 2026 and was a guest on the Semantic SEO Podcast.
In January 2026, Marc started the Perth SEO Meetup, held at Spacecubed headquarters in the Perth CBD. He also publishes the SEO Insights newsletter for search professionals.
